Working Principle Of Steering Gear

Electric power steering means that when the driver turns the steering wheel, the motor below it starts
Gear rack power steering means that there is a hydraulic pump next to the engine, and the engine drives the pump to work
Electric hydraulic power steering is a combination of the first two, and it is also the best steering power device on the market today
The structure of the steering booster is very complicated, and ordinary people cannot repair it. If it is properly maintained, it is not easy to break. Precautions: 1. You should check the oil in the oil cup frequently, and it should not be lower than the lower limit of the oil dipstick. If the booster loses oil, the pressure pump may be scrapped. 2. Change the oil regularly. 3. You cannot turn the steering wheel to the limit. 4. Try not to turn the steering wheel in place.
The power comes from the engine. Trucks have no other power-assisting methods, only hydraulic power-assisting pumps, which are generally installed on the flywheel housing and driven by the crankshaft. There are also some installed in front of the engine and driven by belts, but this type is generally modified.
The power steering system is composed of a set of power-assisting devices on the basis of the mechanical steering system. The steering oil pump 6 is installed on the engine, driven by the crankshaft through a belt and outputs hydraulic oil to the outside. The steering oil tank 5 has an inlet and outlet pipe joint, which is connected to the steering oil pump and the steering control valve 2 through the oil pipe. The steering control valve is used to change the oil circuit. The mechanical steering gear and the cylinder form two left and right working chambers, which are connected through the oil channel and the steering control valve respectively.
When the car is driving in a straight line, the steering control valve 2 connects the working fluid pumped out by the steering oil pump 6 to the oil tank, the steering oil pump is in an unloaded state, and the power steering does not assist. When the car needs to turn right, the driver turns the steering wheel to the right, and the steering control valve connects the working fluid pumped out by the steering oil pump to the R chamber and the L chamber to the oil tank. Under the action of the oil pressure, the piston moves downward, and the left and right wheels are deflected to the right through the transmission structure, thereby realizing right steering. When turning left, the situation is the opposite of the above.
